Itel P15 Review

Itel P15 crunchphone

Just like most Itel models, the Itel P15 is an entry-level device for low-income earners. However, despite the relatively budget design, this smartphone packs a really impressive set of features for its low price tag.

In this post, I will bring to you a short overview of the device, it’s pros, cons, key metrics, and where to buy.

Key Specifications:

Dimensions: 136.7 x 68 x 8.3 mm

Rear camera: 5 MP + 0.3 MP

Front Camera: 5MP

SIM: Dual Micro SIM

RAM: 2GB

Storage: 16GB

Display: 5.0 inch HD IPS Screen

Battery: 4000mAh non-removable battery

Software: Android 9 Go

Network: 2G, 3G

Processor: Cortex-A7 1.3GHz

Design and Display:

Design-wise, the Itel P15 is not spectacular. Featuring a 136.7 x 68 x 8.3 mm dimension, with a screen to body ratio of just 73.2%, the device comes with very noticeable bezels. Such is more than enough to turn off some users, but for such a low price, you shouldn’t expect too much from the device.

The rear features a dual camera with a flash, fingerprint sensor, and Itel branding, while the front features a 5 inch – 219-pixel density screen, a 5MP camera with a flashlight fixed upfront, and a speaker.

Battery:

The Itel P15 is fitted with a non-removable 4000mAh lithium-ion battery. A battery of such capacity should be able to power your device through 2 days of normal use.

Camera:

The Itel P15 – true to its budget category – doesn’t come with the best of cameras. The main camera module features a dual 5 MP + 0.3 MP lens and a flashlight for optimal lighting. The front camera is fitted with just a single relatively modest 5MP lens and a flashlight.

Low specs I admit, but when you take the price into view, I’d say Itel has done a really decent work here.

Processor, Software, and Memory:

The Itel P15 runs under the energy-efficient 32-bit Cortex-A7 processor, a 2GB of memory, and 16GB of internal storage, with the graphics handling executed by  Mali-400MP2 GPU. The device comes preinstalled by the Go version of Android 9.

Pros:

  • Low price
  • Good battery

Cons:

  • No 4G
